Third 14 Days of Stay at Home (Day 35)

21st April 2020, Tuesday

I saw this Chocolate Indulgence Cheesecake with Oreo Crust recipe on Facebook around last week. I've been putting it on hold to try making this cake as I couldn't get all the ingredients needed from the store nearby our place here. The most crucial ingredient for this cake is the cream cheese. Few weeks back when we visited the store, I saw they were selling it and the price was quite expensive and I hesitated to buy it and also that time I was not planning to bake any cheese cake. So by the time I saw this recipe, we went to the store again but there's none. Today we went again to try our luck, hoping they restock it, but sadly still no luck.

Finally I've decided to make my own cream cheese and whipping cream using milk. So I've prep the cream cheese, whipping cream and also the cake base one day ahead before actually making the cake tomorrow. Here's the recipe, you can try it out too Chocolate Indulgence Cheese Cake with Oreo Crust

2 teaspoons unflavoured powdered gelatin
1 cup full fat milk
2 tablespoons icing sugar
