Money flies, so does MY precious time.

(I don't care whoever reads this post, this is my voice out and I have my rights to say it out. )

Currently, I'm schooling in a premier school (fully government) which care for its reputation so much. Since the school has great history. Ever since last time, the school had maintained its academics and also sports achievements record. But lately, academics record was not so good compare to other nearby schools. This school also being recognized by its well developed infrastructure and facilities. That's way, many applied to go in there. I really don't know why they think this school is so great. For us currently studying here, thinks that the school only wants money as much from us any moment. So, to those who want to apply into this school, normally those with good family background (as in rich) will be selected.

So, what I'm trying to say is.. School is actually a place for students to study and gain knowledge. It's that true? Lately, it seems has turned out to begging us for money, doing this and that saying its for the school's fund means for upgrading school facilities.

As I can recall,
2009 : A jogathon was held to raised money for the school.
2010 : A charity concert was held to raised money for the school also.
2011 : (which will be held on this Saturday) A bazaar which also for fund raising.
All events held are for the same purpose which is to RAISE MONEY FOR THE SCHOOL

I believed every school, no matter government or non-government compulsory to pay fees but the difference is the amount paid. In my very school, every student do have to pay school fees, which include "YURAN PIBG"(Teacher & Parents Association fee), "SUMBANGAN PENYELANGGARAAN TANDAS MURID" (upgrading students toilet fee) & "PROJEK NAIK TARAF BILIK DARJAH BERJUBIN"(tiles for the class).

If there were about 1000 students in the school
Yuran PIBG is RM30 for each student = 30 x 1000 = RM 30,000
Yuran tandas is RM15 for each student = 15 x 1000 = RM 15, 000
Yuran jubin is RM10 for each student = 10 x 1000 = RM 10, 000.

okay, lets start with Yuran PIBG. The money was supposed for upgrading school, including classrooms. But, since Form 1 until now, Form 6, i never see it being upgraded. Only few classes have air-cond, but I heard that also being sponsored by the students' parents of that class, which are more wealthy. What I can see is, they used the money for upgrading the principal's room with got a bathroom with shower. Next, putting cement on grassy area. For what? It's not environmental-friendly at all. Next, install air-conds in the hall whereby the hall's door has holes under it. Other than that, installing CCTVs areas which students escape, but all ruined by the students. Such a waste of money. But, did they replace broken windows in classes? Nope! They say, broken windows should be replaced by students themselves.

2nd, yuran tandas. since 2005 till now, its about 6 years+, the toilet remained unchanged. okay maybe a few changes, water tap changed and add a few dustbins. That's all! Even worse, all most all the time, no water supply, which makes the toilet disgusting. No wants want to enter. With RM 15,000 a year just specially for students toilet, it should be like a 5 star hotel's toilet.

3rd, yuran jubin kelas. No tiles until now. The fees were paid last year. But I don't see any tiles. Where did the tiles gone? Oh ya, maybe they put tiles in the corridor walkway.

This school really just concerned about outside appearance. What's the use of having Pre-U's students wearing blazer which cost about RM200++ each set where there is no air-cond in the class? Must be button up all the time. Looks smart outside, but we are the one who suffers, it's really hot inside. Why do they care so much for physical appearance since academics achievement also cannot be compared to those kampung-kampung school? They are far better although they use boat to school everyday. You told us this story.

Lastly, we want to know where actually the fund-raising money go to? We don't see anything being upgraded lately. Even recently an event, also didn't provide food or even drinks for the guest like parents. Maybe it's better to not invite them to the event.

What bazaar is this when 100% of the capital of stall's are by students themselves, but 90% of the earnings goes to the school while students only get back 10%? Terrible.. After that, we don'y know where does the 90% goes to. Of course they say it's for the school, but where's the prove?

Creating events, to waste parents money and studies are neglected, precious time are wasted.
When we asked for something simple, please make it reality.
Otherwise, when you asked something from us, we also don't bother at all.
like the malay saying "orang memberi, kita merasa. orang berbudi, kita berbahasa".
Ini parents complain, I have no time for all this.
Use brains to think wisely.
That's all I wish to say, actually there's more..
I believed my mates do have the same points as me..
