14 Days Diary of COVID-19 (Day 6)

23rd March 2020, Monday

Hello Monday!

Last night I've prepared some song for my Lagenda group class children and I shared it with their parents through WhatsApp group for their children to practice at home. So some parents requested video for the songs so that they can play and sing along. So it was time for me to film the videos.

My bro assisted me in filming the videos and the process took around 1 hour plus. Then we break for lunch. After lunch I started to edit the videos, one is for ukulele class and another is for music and movement. Feel free to check out the videos here: Music & Movement , Ukulele

Remember to continue to stay safe at home everyone :)

14 Days Diary of COVID-19 (Day 5)

22nd March 2020, Sunday

It's Sunday, I woke up around 9.00 am. Mum woke up much earlier, she steamed pandan mantao for breakfast.

Then we decided to make pan mian soup (Hakka Flat Noodle Soup) for our lunch. It's our first time making it from scratch. Mum boiled the soup while I prepared the dough for the noodle. We improvised the recipe that we found online.

The ingredients for making the dough (noodles) are:
500 grams of flour
220 ml of water
an egg
a pinch of salt
Ingredients for the dough (noodle)

For the soup, we'll need:
some chicken fillet / pork meat (didn't take photo)
anchovies
mushroom
sayur manis or any preferable vegetable (we are using cabbage, as only this available at home)

Ingredients for the soup

These are for the garnishing:
Stirred fried chicken fillet
Fried anchovies
Fried garlic / red onion

14 Days Diary of COVID-19 (Day 4)

21st March 2020, Saturday

I woke up early today, around 7.00 am. It was Sabbath Day and I seldom get to observe the full Sabbath as I'm working on Saturday morning. Thank God for this blessing in disguise, even though we can't go out to church for service but I get to observe the full Sabbath and also to rest.

I cooked breakfast for the family, two types of menu (sounds like a chef hehe) first one is Fried Rice with Sausage and Egg, second is Tomato Pasta with Crabmeat.

After breakfast we prepared ourselves for the online morning Sabbath service at 10.00 am. The service was led by Pr. James Yapp and interpreter was Dn. James Kieu. The sermon title was Pada Hari Yang Malang, Ingatlah. Sang hymn number 388 and followed by prayer. Preacher Yapp delivered his sermon then ended with singing hymn number 344 then followed by prayer.

After the morning service we took short nap while waiting for afternoon service at 2.00 pm. The afternoon Sabbath service was led by Pr. Zakheus Yong in Malay and interpreted by Sis. Evelyn in Mandarin. Sang hymn number 333 and then followed by prayer. Preacher Yong delivered sermon title Lembah Akhor Menjadi Pintu Pengharapan. Second hymn was 407 and ended with prayer.

Thank God after the service I feel more comforted through the words of God. I feel more safe and not worrying too much of the spread of virus because in Him we trust and also He is also the provider of shelter in the time of storm. But that does not mean we can go out any where that we want, we must still obey to the rules by the government.

Later at around 5.00 pm, mum and me went to the newly opened Pick n Pay store just right in front of our apartment (within walking distance) to buy some food. Thank God having this store which is convenient for us during these days.

Remember to pray. Stay safe everyone.

p/s: Donggongon choir was supposed to attend KKR Kudat on today and tomorrow.

14 Days Diary of COVID-19 (Day 3)

20th March 2020, Friday

The whole family woke up quite late, around 9.00 am, since there is nothing to do. I woke up with hungry stomach. I felt like preparing breakfast that morning and I felt like having a warm breakfast. So yeah, I cooked Tomato Chicken Porridge paired with side dish Fried Dace with Salted Black Beans.

Later in the afternoon we did some cleaning in the house. I also cleaned my instruments that I've used earlier in this year. During the holidays end of last year, my brother and I have already cleaned and washed all of it. So this round, I just disinfected those which are used recently. I felt so productive, because I normally would take nap in the afternoon.

Time to clean them

Finished with the cleaning, took my shower and I started to edit my cooking video. It's up on YouTube, watch it here: Tomato Chicken Porridge

Mummy prepared and cooked early dinner as normally on Friday we'll be going to church for evening service, but not today. Still, we'll be attending online service via Facebook or YouTube for the very first time.

At around 7.30 pm all of us gathered in the living room, waiting for the online live streaming evening service to start. The service commenced at 8.00 pm sharp.

The service was led by Pr. Lemuel Leong and interpreted by Dn. Philip Chin with the sermon title Kepercayaan Sempena Mencegah Penularan Virus. The service was according to the usual worship service order, started with singing hymn number 394 and then prayer. Then preacher delivered his sermon and ended with singing hymn number 198 and prayer.

14 Days Diary of COVID-19 (Day 2 Night)

19th March 2020, Thursday

Last night after having dinner and showered, it was a little me time. As I've said earlier, I wanted to do the lesson plan for the whole year. Nope, I didn't do it, I wasn't that hardworking >< But I was just browsing through some ideas for crafts and learning some new Kodaly songs for my music group class. Then I called it a day.

p/s: Remember to pray, stay home, stay safe, clean and healthy.

14 Days Diary of COVID-19 (Day 1 & 2)

On the 16th of March 2020 (Monday), Malaysia Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that starting from the 18th of March till 31st of March all Malaysian are under Movement Control Order (MCO) due to the spread and positive cases Corona virus (COVID-19) in Malaysia. All schools and shops were ordered to close except for essential services such as banks, eatery shops (for take-away and delivery only) and supermarkets. Everyone are advised to stay at home, not going anywhere for holidays and even balik kampung.

16th March 2020: PM announcement on Movement Control Order

All my classes are canceled. All music centres are temporary closed too. Replacement classes will be made after 31st of March. Today is actually the second day of MCO. I'm planning to blog what I did in this 14 days, since I'm quite free.

So here's what I did on the first day (18th March 2020, Wednesday)

I woke up quiet late and the I cooked brunch for the family, just one dish only. Watch the making of Curry Seafood Toufu with Vege here ^^

Later in the afternoon, I did some notes for my religious education class students to be shared with them through WhatsApp. I took nap and then woke up to do some admin work of the music centre that I'm working for. In between of course, WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.

We had dinner cooked by mum. Our PM made announcement again, after seeing the condition of the streets filled with humans here and there. He gave warning to everyone to stay at home! Unless you have to get food and essential stuff. Ya, everyone should obey.

18th March 2020: Second time PM reminded the MCO - stay at home!

At night I edited a video of what I cooked earlier. It's on YouTube, do check it out, it's my first cooking video (Curry Seafood Toufu with Vege). I always wanted to make cooking videos (though I'm not really good at cooking), I've film them, but no time to edit. So I guess in this 14-days, I'll make use of the time to do my favourite stuff like posting more videos, blog more, learn to cook new dishes and maybe do my lesson for the whole year (I hope I can ><)

Today is the second day (19th March 2020, Thursday)
I woke up around 8.30 am. Cleared some of my stuff. Last night we did plan restock some food from the supermarket. Around 10.00 am, me and mum went out (watch it here We went out during MCO)
First we went to Bataras Supermarket, ITCC, we didn't know that the whole building of ITCC was closed. We thought the supermarket will be open. Unfortunately not, just the eatery shops are open.

So we went to CKS Donggongon. Looks like many people going for shopping and restock food too. Upon entering the main door, all customers are scanned for temperature. There were already many people queuing to pay, all counters were open and lines were long. So mum and me quickly get what we needed as we already had our shopping list and splited into two to make it faster. Then we got home quickly as it is not advisable to stay outside for too long.

Look what I bought!

Customers at CKS

Reached home and then quickly got shower, we don't want virus to be on our bodies. We ate our brunch, Maggie Curry! My first instant noodle in this 14 days. I continued doing some of the admin work, I'm quite happy because I managed to finish one part, what a productive day!

Now I'm in front of my laptop doing this blog. Maybe I shall continue later at night? As I wish to publish this blog post now! Stay tuned.
