"Western Food" at Kedai Kopi New Hin Kee, Towering, Penampang

It was Fathers' Day on the last Sunday, and daddy decided to take us out for dinner. To us, everyday is Fathers' Day, so that night wasn't really a dinner for that special celebration, just that coincidence daddy wanted to have western food for dinner.

Kedai Kopi New Hin Kee

Here we are, Kedai Kopi New Hin Kee. Don't be surprised, some might be wondering, "This coffee shop serves western food?" Yes, they do and serving other Chinese dishes too.

My daddy is the type of person who would rather go for reasonable delicious food in a simple coffee shop rather going in some fancy restaurant but serves food with just okay-okay taste. It's the taste that matters to him.

Here's the menu, selections of western food; pasta, burger, steaks, fish and chips, chicken chop and salads :)

OUR DINNER IS SERVED

I had this Seafood Spaghetti Pasta. It was quite a large portion of food and there were prawns, squid and fish fillet and carrots in the pasta. However, quite disappointed with the taste. I'll just give a 4 out of 10 for this.
Seafood Spaghetti Pasta @ RM 15

Daddy and Asher had the Fish and Chips. As you can see, big fish fillet, french fries and coslow. The fish was fresh and tasted so crispy. Yeah, it was nice and perfect. Both of them like it and finish without complaining.
Fish & Chips @ RM 16

Mummy had the Grilled Fish Fillet. It was cooked with black pepper sauce but not too hot. The fish was fresh. Very nice!!

Overall, the price of the food are reasonable and the food portion is very satisfying. Next time shall try other western food on their menu.

Penampang Ngiu Chap, Donggongon

Penampang Ngiu Chap - one of the best ngiu chap (beef noodle) in town that our  family have tasted. Since everyone in the family recognised its taste so we come here quite often for breakfast and lunch.

Here we are :)

As you can see, it's an open air place with a touch of kampung style built on a private land. They managed to keep a clean and good environment in their place providing a comfortable eatery place for their customers.

Open kitchen concept - you can see the chef preparing your food

Normally, I'll be having this; Ngiu Chap Soup (Mix Beef Noodles) with beef meat, tendons, meatballs and beef inner part. You can choose to have mee, meehon or kuay teow. Their chilli is very hot and delicious to eat with the ngiu chap.

Ngiu Chap Soup @ RM 8.00

Kon Lou Ngiu Chap (dry sauce) - my dad's favourite, having the noodle mix with the thick dark soy sauce.
